It is helpful to know what you can expect to receive before a flight

so that you can plan ahead. Below you will find a list of what drinks

and food each airline offers on US domestic flights.

AirTran

Beverages: free on all flights. Alcoholic beverages have a charge of $5 or $6.

Air Tran does not serve meals on board.

Meals:

Flights shorter than 3 hours:

-four different Anytime Picnic Packs, $6

Flights longer than 3 hours:

-fresh meal or a hearty Picnic Pack, $6

American Airlines

Beverages: free on all flights. Alcoholic beverages have a charge of $6.

Meals:

Flights 2 hours or longer:

-Individual Snacks, $3 - $4

Flights 3 hours or longer:

-in addition of the above Fresh Light Meals, $6

Continental Airlines

Beverages: free on all flights. Alcoholic beverages have a charge of $5.

Meals:

Flights shorter than 2 hours:

-peanuts or pretzels, free

Flights between 2 to 3.5 hours:

-breakfast, snack or lunch/dinner snack (lunch/dinner meals over three hours), free

How to pay: food is free; alcoholic beverage vouchers must be purchased before departure in the airport terminal.

Delta Airlines

Beverages: free on all flights. Alcoholic beverages have a charge of $5 or $7.

Flights 2.5 hours or longer:

-different options for breakfast, lunch or dinner, $3 - $8
